Formula's can be utilized to find the machining time required to the mill out the area for the c-clamp. Finding the correct clamping force to hold the piece in place. This may involve finding forces in the x and y directions along with moments. Toggle clamps will be use in the design of the clamps that will be secured to the mount.
Finding the required minimum force to hold the c-clamp in place gave a number that would allow a large safety factor for the toggle clamps that were chosen.
